Patent Assistant

Karen graduated in 2004 from Bharath Institute of Science and Engineering in Chennai, India, with a Batchelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Engineering, in which she was awarded a Distinction, also completing a Diploma in Web Application Design. She went on to obtain an Executive Post Graduate Diploma in International Business Management from Loyola Institute of Business Administration, also in Chennai, before joining a leading intellectual property firm in India, where she worked for two years and became a Registered Patent Agent, handling cases related to computer hardware, software, electronics and telecommunications. Karen joined the Electrical department of A.A. Thornton & Co. in 2006, where she is training to become a Chartered and European Patent Attorney, and has recently completed the Certificate in Intellectual Property at Queen Mary, University of London.
