Rachel is a Law graduate from Glamorgan University. She first entered the trade mark profession in 1995, since which time she has been involved in a diverse range of work, including the registration of certification and collective trade marks. Rachel joined A.A.Thornton & Co. in 1999, qualified as a Registered Trade Mark Attorney in 2000 and became a Partner of the firm in 2006. Based in the Northampton office, she spends much of her time prosecuting UK and EU trade mark applications through to registration and liaising with foreign associates in securing worldwide protection of marks. She also has experience representing clients at hearings before the UK Trade Marks Registry and Appointed Person, and in instructing solicitors and Counsel in High Court and Court of Appeal cases.
