Vanessa graduated from Nottingham University with a degree in Biochemistry with Genetics. She went on to gain an MSc in Law and Science - Intellectual Property Law from London University. Initially, Vanessa worked in the agrochemicals industry. She entered the trade mark profession in 1989, qualifying as a Trade Mark Attorney in 1991. When joining A.A.Thornton & Co. in 1994, she was a Registered Trade Mark Attorney and member of ITMA. She became a partner of the firm in 1997. Vanessa currently handles a wide range of UK and international trade mark cases and works across various commercial sectors. Her clients include fashion retailers, breweries, food manufacturers, banks, travel operators and internet companies. She is a member of INTA, PTMG and ECTA. More >
