At A.A.Thornton & Co., all of our services are partner-led. This ensures that our clients always have access to fully qualified and highly experienced attorneys.

Our recruitment perpetuates this policy in that we only appoint people we deem to have partnership potential. These may be attorneys who are already qualified in the field, or high-calibre graduate trainees with appropriate degrees or experience.

All trainees are actively involved in the firm’s operations and services as they work towards qualification. Each is assigned to a partner who guides and mentors them through the process, while also supervising their day-to-day responsibilities.

The importance we attach to training and qualification is reflected across the firm. Professional Development is integral, with support staff both encouraged and sponsored to take appropriate courses. We are active outside the firm too, with many of our qualified attorneys providing training and tutorials on behalf of their respective professional bodies.

Overall, this approach enables us to safeguard the professionalism and quality standards that are essential to our continued success. In practice, it enables us to put together teams of highly-skilled and motivated specialists with strong loyalty to the firm.
