Highly rated intellectual property law firm AA Thornton IP LLP has an exciting opportunity for an experienced IP administrator to join the firm in a new role of Senior IP Administrator.  The role forms part of an IP Operations team who are focussed on delivering first-class support to our patent, trade mark and litigation fee earning teams.  The role holder will use their expert knowledge in providing training and ongoing coaching across teams in the use of Inprotech and related procedures, ensuring data entry is of a consistently high standard.

Who are we looking for?

You will be integral to a high performing team of IP administrators, paralegals and secretaries who are passionate about providing quality administrative support to some of the world’s leading Patent and Trademark Fee Earners.  You will bring your expert knowledge to challenge the status quo and proactively develop efficient IP processes to maximise business efficiency in line with changing law, technology and procedures across all IP disciplines.

Our ideal candidate will have work experience linked to the successful completion of the CIPA and CITMA Administrator Certificate or equivalent role/experience within an IP Firm or Corporate IP team.  Experience of processing incoming case related correspondence, managing due date reports and deadlines, liaising with clients and service providers and the ability to proactively tailor standard client correspondence accurately, is essential.   Extensive experience of using Inprotech would be ideal, although transferable expertise of using equivalent database/s to an advanced level would be considered.  The ability to effectively train others in processes and database entry is essential.
