Leading UK intellectual property firm AA Thornton IP LLP are delighted to announce that the ‘Opportunities for patenting AI and other computer-related inventions’ seminar will be taking place on Monday 27th March 2023 at The Bradfield Centre, Cambridge in collaboration with Cambridge Wireless (CW), Innovate UK EDGE, Conley Rose PC, and the UK Intellectual Property Office.

Delegate registration is from 12:00 with refreshments provided prior to the start of the event presentations at 12.30. Guests are invited to talk with speakers and other attendees over coffee 14:45-15:15 and over drinks 17:00 to 18:00.

About the Talk:

This event is primarily to help UK innovators understand the opportunities that exist for patenting AI technologies. The UK has a very positive environment for patenting, and this event will share patenting guidance from the UK Intellectual Property Office and other experts.

The seminar will include presentations from UK and US experts in patenting computer-implemented inventions, including the team that prepared the UK Intellectual Property Office’s excellent 2022 guidance on AI patenting, and patent attorneys from AA Thornton IP LLP and Conley Rose PC. Delegates will also hear about the funding and support that is available via Innovate UK EDGE, and will hear from members of CW’s AI Special Interest Group.
